Mr Sarangi is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and the Avon Orthopaedic Centre. 

Educated at the University of Manchester and undertook the majority of his surgical training in orthopaedic surgery in Bristol. 

He also undertook a clinical fellowship in New York. 

 

Shoulder pain is common in the over thirties and often interferes with sleep as well as daily activities.
The most frequent causes of pain are :

  • Rotator cuff impingement
  • Rotator cuff tears
  • Frozen shoulder (capsulitis)
  • Arthritis of the acromioclavicular joint (end of collar bone)
  • Osteoarthritis of the glenohumeral joint (ball joint of the shoulder)
